YIN & PIN
WITH SAM & NIKKI
SATURDAY, MAY 11, 5-6:3opm
We welcome you to our Yin & Pin workshop, rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Yin Yoga targets the channels of the subtle body known as the meridians to promote energy flow and inner balance through passive poses, while acupuncture restores Qi balance by clearing blockages along these pathways. Together, they offer a holistic approach to health, fostering flexibility, relaxation, and emotional well-being. Join us as we explore the ancient wisdom of TCM, unlocking the transformative potential of these complementary modalities.
Sam (RYT) and Nikki (D-TCM, L.AC) bonded instantly over their knowledge and love of Traditional Chinese Medicine and its foundation of ancient, holistic wellness. The two shared admiration for how each other’s practices could be different, yet so similar in mission, and thus Yin & Pin came to fruition. The two share deep passion for the healing benefits of yin yoga and the wisdom of TCM with a mission to provide a space for others to rest and restore both body and mind

BREATH & BODY:
MOVEMENT METHOD INTENSIVE WITH MATT PHIPPEN
SEPTEMBER 27-29, 2024
Friday, September 27, 6-8pm
Rib Mechanics And The Respiratory Diaphragm
Optimal movement mechanics rely on a stable core. Core stability has less to do with strong abs and a "6-pack", and much more to do with breathing, and something called Intra Abdominal Pressure (IAP). This workshop highlights proper breath and rib mechanics, and emphasizes the way breathing informs the way we move our body. It will break down complex concepts and make them easily digestible and accessible. All levels welcome.
Saturday, September 28, 11am - 1pm
Core Mechanics And the Pelvic Diaphragm
The stability of your pelvis is contingent on the quality of your breath. And the quality of your breath depends on the stability of your core. This workshop highlights proper breath mechanics and pelvic floor mechanics, and emphasizes the way breathing (core) informs the way we move our body. It will deliver complex concepts in a really digestible way. All levels welcome.
Saturday, September 28, 2pm - 4pm
